On Approving Comments

I don't know about you guys, but recently I've decided on rejecting comments in my posts, especially those comments that the writer's objective seems to be to leave a link on your blog. I have the word verification on my blog, so whoever leaves comments are certainly human.

I am just curious why some people would bother scouring the web for content similar to theirs and leave nonsense comments and a link back to their site. I've decided to reject these kinds of comments altogether.

I know I'm not being harsh, since I just don't want to lose traffic and all. Or am I being harsh?
