Wonder Woman Tag Saturday, November 29, 2008
I received a tag from Rose, a blogger whose blog I love to read daily. I received this tag several days ago but it is only now that I am replying to it. This tag is called the Wonder Woman tag, and if you know someone who deserves this tag, please share it with them.
I would like to share this tag to a co-worker of mine who does wonders in her own way. If my mom had a blog, I'd give this tag to her too.
So there, don't forget to hug your own Wonder Womans at home to let them know you appreciate their efforts and hard work!

10% Off Vacuum Cleaner Bags, Belts and Filters Thursday, November 27, 2008
I came across a site that offers vacuum cleaners bags belts filters brushrolls machines at 10% off. The site is called EZ Vacuum, and what's even better aside from the 10% off if you use the coupon code EZVAC10 is that shipping is also free on ALL orders.
The coupon code EZVAC10 will take 10% off on your entire order price, and as I've mentioned, shipping is also free. Currently, EZ Vacuum offers shipping through your choice of UPS or USPS shipping rates. Most of the orders from EZ Vacuum are shipped within 24 hours from the time your order is placed. Your zip code is the determining factor for the charges that will be computed by UPS and all this information is given to you before checkout, so you know just exactly what you're paying for.
If you're going to be using a PO Box for a shipping address, please note and please be reminded of the fact that UPS doesn't deliver to PO Boxes, so choose USPS for APO/FPO/AE/PO orders. So again, just use the special coupon code EZVAC10 to take 10% off of your entire purchase price. Also, remember that shipping is also free on all orders, so you're really getting your money's worth on buying vacuum cleaner bags, belts, and filters. So what are you waiting for? Make that smart purchase of vacuum cleaner bags, belts, and filters through EZ Vacuum!

Ranting and Raving about Twilight Thursday, November 27, 2008
I've been dying to watch Twilight the very first moment I saw the trailer. I honestly have not heard of the book prior to the release of the movie, but since I learned the movie was based from the book, I've been dying to get my hands on it since.
The movie is about a teenage girl and a vampire who fall in love with each other against all odds (sorry for the pun). I honestly fell for the movie's tagline "When you can live forever, what do you live for?"
I'm not a sucker for love stories, but I guess I like dark stories and finding love amidst the worst of situations. The vampire guy is torn between his natural desire for blood, but it's the blood of the girl he's waited for decades and decades. The story also happens to be a series, so I'm also curious as to how the other parts will go.
So there, whoever has the book please consider lending it to me. I hope Henry and I find the time to watch the said movie, I'm really dying to watch it.

Ranting about Yesterday Thursday, November 27, 2008
I got locked out of my house yesterday and had to wait for more than 2 hours before I finally got in. Since I'm too tired and sleepy and have to run some errands before knocking myself out to sleep, just read about the complete details in my other blog post.
It was a horrible way to start (or end) the day, but I learned my lesson the hard way, which is all I can say.

The Flat Belly Diet Friday, November 21, 2008
The diet that everyone has been talking about is finally here! It's called the Flat Belly Diet, and it's fairly simple and easy to understand. As a mom of two kids whom I gave birth to both through cesarean section, I have found it hard to get my flat belly back. Before I became a mom, I was thin but now, I still have a bulging belly no matter what exercise or diet that I do. I lose weight in my arms and legs and everywhere else except my belly.
The Flat Belly Diet claims to make you lose weight without any exercise required. You can also lose 15 pounds in 32 days! This diet was created for people who have tried just about anything to eliminate belly fat (like me!). The diet is centered in the research that eating healthy fats or MUFAs (Monounsaturated Fatty Acids) during each meal specifically targets belly fat.
Five delicious MUFAs that people on the Flat Belly Diet can indulge in are dark chocolate, oils, nuts and seeds, avocadoes, and olives. Just by reading the success stories of people with varying ages is enough for me to run out and try the diet myself. Imagine, you get to eat foods that are mostly not allowed in other diets yet achieve greater results! I guess this is one of the reasons why everyone is just talking about the Flat Belly Diet!

Seal - Kiss from a Rose Friday, November 21, 2008
In the British music blog that I write for, I featured Seal and this particular song. I didn't even realize that it's been years and years since this song was first featured in the Batman Forever movie. I just love the lyrics, and the way Seal sang this song. He released other great songs, but this one is still my favorite among all.
For me, the song is somewhat a song of hope, when you are at your deepest of moments, you get pulled back into life by love, by a kiss. At least for me, that's what I think about "I've been kissed by a rose on the grave." What do you think?

Spice up your Fireplace! Friday, November 21, 2008
Whether you've chosen your house to be the traditional house or a very contemporary and modern one, there is certainly a fireplace that will suit your needs, especially with the cold season up ahead.
Gas fires have become a necessity in every home, and with the times being modern, people now have the choice of the type of fire that they can use in their homes. There are now what we call electric fires, and hole in the wall fires.
I personally like electric fires over the traditional ones. First of all, there isn't cleaning ashes involved, and there's no burnt pieces of wood flying around your house should a strong wind come blowing by. You also don't need to exert that much effort in getting the fire started, much less in turning it off. Also, maintaining an electric fire over the traditional one is so much easier and uncomplicated, and it also reduces the risk of you and a family member getting burned in the process.
Hole in the wall fires are perfect for houses that are built in the contemporary and modern style. You can choose different designs to suit the look and feel of your room. There are lots of great choices of hole in the wall fires and electric fires in this website called Hotprice. They've been featured several times in UK TV with their range of gas and electric fires whose styles vary from traditional to the ones more modern and contemporary. Do check this website out if you're planning on remodeling or getting a new fireplace.

Writing with Paying Post Thursday, November 20, 2008
I'm looking forward to getting opps from PayingPost. Whenever I log into my account, most of the opps are grayed out already. Similar to other pay per post sites, they have a list of opps which you can take if you are qualified, and you simply write the post in your blog. Pretty simple, right?
I am really looking forward to writing with PayingPost. The site is really simple to use, and there are lots of opps that you can choose from, all of which also pay great compared to other sites. Another thing I like about PayingPost is that you get paid for blogging by PayPal. It's the payment method I accept and have not have any problems whatsoever.
So for other bloggers out there who are interested in paid blogging or blogging for money, do visit PayingPost, I'm sure you'll like it.

Nice to Book Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Thanks to Zync, I came across this site called Nice to Book wherein you can reserve and book hotels in top travel destinations such as Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Sevilla.
The site is very easy to use. You simply need to select your check in and check out dates, plus how many people you'll be traveling with, and then pick a destination of your choice, and that's it! You'll be able to get the prices right away.
Like for instance, the hotel in Sevilla that's called Hotel Catalonia Giralda, it's in Sierra Nevada and it's situated in historic yet commercial place in Sevilla. You can easily make a reservation to this great hotel with simply a click of your mouse, right in the comfort of your home. You can also book hotels in Barcelona and/or hotels in Gijon in advance, with the luxury of knowing whatthe room you are booking looks like, and you get to read reviews made by other people who've been there.
What's great about online booking at Nice to Book is that you get to choose and see the rooms and you get to choose rooms that will suit you and your companion (or companions, if you're traveling with a group) before you actually make the reservation. And with plenty of hotels to choose from, it is certain that you will find one that will suit you best. So go ahead and try Nice to Book in the comfort of your home the next time you find yourself traveling.

Friendster is Back to Normal Tuesday, November 18, 2008
I'm glad Friendster is back to normal.
I've been getting a white page saying they're under maintenance a few days back and yesterday, I was finally able to log in but my friends list was like less than a hundred when in reality, I have more than 300 friends.
So there, just wanted to share that everything is back to normal with Friendster.

12 Hours at Work Tuesday, November 18, 2008
I'm ranting because tonight I will be working 12 hours...My shift really starts at 2am and ends at 11am, but for tonight we are asked to report at 11pm, due to some training that I already forgot what the topic was.
Nope, this isn't training for me being a QA already, it's just part of the up-training for us agents. My training as a QA won't start until next week. What happened is, the newly-hired QAs will join agents in their product training, and since this week they're just in core skills training which we're already done with, we'll be joining them next week.
The thought of being at work for 12 hours is enough to bring my spirits down. For starters, I won't get to see Henry tonight when he comes home. It will also mean I have less time to spend with my kids as I should be sleeping by now already. But on the other hand, I'm just thinking that I'll get paid for the extra hours anyway, so it really shouldn't be that bad.
Oh well, I guess I just have to bear this week. Next week will be a whole new start for me anyway.

Is Linky Love Army still Alive? Monday, November 17, 2008
For bloggers out there who are members of The Linky Love Army, do you guys still get any opps from them? The last opp I got from them was back in October 2007 about Belize. It's a contest whose winners didn't get announced, by the way.
A good thing is that all the opps I ever did for Linky Love Army was paid, but as I've said, it's been more than year since I got a new opp from them. Also, their blog doesn't show any new posts, their most recent one being back in December 2007. So I don't know what's going on or if I should even expect to get any more advertising opps from then anymore.

My AdSense Account is Gone Thursday, November 13, 2008
Yesterday it was my friend Dood's AdSense account that was disabled, now it's mine. :-( Good thing there's not much in my AdSense account yet as there's no way for me to retrieve my earnings. Like Doods, the email I received was the same, that we were posing as a threat to their AdWords advertisers. My God, all I can say is this is crap.

AdSense Account Disabled?!?! Wednesday, November 12, 2008
My friend and officemate Doods and I are currently talking on the phone and we are both very concerned as his Google Adsense account was disabled. He received an email from AdSense that his publisher account was posing as a threat to their AdWords advertisers and they have thus decided to close his account.
I hope that he will be able to contact AdSense and find out exactly what he did wrong to deserve his account being disabled. I wonder what advertiser was affected for them to disable his account on the grounds that he might "financially" affect their advertisers. We both have no idea why his AdSense account would be disabled for any reason at all.
I hope this issue gets resolved at the soonest possible time. His earnings are all there in his AdSense account and he's worked so hard.

On Ski Resorts Saturday, November 08, 2008
For those who like to ski, I came across this great site that offers great deals on ski resorts. The site is called Destinia, and they offer great deals on ski stations as well. Destinia also offers travel to other popular destinations and you can book reservations for hotels and apartments while on travel, with their guaranteed low prices.
For those who don't know, skiing was initially designed to help the wearer of the ski slide smoothly over snow and was originally intended to travel in snowy regions although they are now primarily used for recreational and sporting purposes. Now, there are also other forms of skiing as part of recreational purposes. Some skiiers actually participate in skiing tournaments and some even try out extreme skiing - jumping off slopes and high places, etc.
Destinia offers an easy-to-navigate page when booking hotels and apartments, as well as for the ski page, it is also very easy to choose where you plan your ski vacation. You can choose the region you want to go skiing, as well as when you want to go, and how many your companions are. Destinia is a great site for travel, but I would have liked it more if it had an English translation. But other than that, it's a great resource for travelers who are into skiing.

On Obama Winning the Presidency Thursday, November 06, 2008
I'm not a US Citizen, but my job lets me to talk to Americans 8 hours a day for 5 days. I feel the impact of the recession as the company I work for is run by Americans, and the clients that the company caters to are also Americans. I also feel the impact of the elections every day even though I am not there.
I get customers who like talking with me and some who just stubbornly insist that they be transferred to an American customer service representative. I can honestly say that when I talk, it is very hard to distinguish whether I am an American or not, but there are just some who insist you tell them where you're located. I don't lie, I'm proud to say that I'm in the Philippines, and then they state that they don' t want to talk to you anymore.
With Obama winning the election, I am not expecting that racism will stop, nor that I won't get any more rude American customers over the phone. But I do hope that this serve as a wake-up call for everybody that color and ethnicity are not the real measures of a person's worth or capacity to serve. I wish Obama the best of luck.

Zenni Optical was on FOX news! Sunday, November 02, 2008
I've been writing about Great Eyeglasses For Less at Zenni Optical, and I just found out recently that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! Well, I'm not surprised at all. They sell great quality eyeglasses for a fraction of the cost since they manufacture their own eyeglasses and sell them directly to customers. So there's no middle man fee to add to the price and no advertising fees as well. You can read about Zenni on Fox here.
Take the eyeglasses above. This is a half-rimmed pure titanium frame and guess what? It only sells for $39.95 for the lens and the frame. If you'd like to add extra coatings like anti-reflection, it's an extra $4.95. There are also Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni so there are lots and lots you can choose from. The glasses are great and you can add so much more enhancements to them without having to pay an extraordinarily high amount.
