3 Column Dots Template

OK, so the OC in me will not let things be.

There are spaces in between my posts when I use the 3 Column Minima template, so out of exhaustion and the fact that I have to cook lunch, I used the template I have with my other blog. So all of my images fit, and I have no more issues.

May this be the last time this week that I switch templates.

Fixed, I Think

The OC in me won over my issue about my blog's new template. I found a 3 column Minima template where the center is bigger than all of the sidebars, addressing my concern perfectly. I got all my fonts and colors arranged just the way I like them.

But now that I'm looking at the template, I noticed that there are some spacs after my blog posts, which I'm curious as to why they're there. I don't know if the spaces are showing up because I'm using FireFox or what.

I guess the OC in me will have more to think about later.

A Slight Issue

I've been browsing my blog with the new template but the OC in me just realized that my dNeero posts don't fit in this template...so either I'll have to find a way to adjust this template's HTML or switch to a different one altogether. Or maybe even switch it back to the old one.

A New Look

At a spur of the moment thing I suddenly decided to change this blog's template to the 3 column Minima Dark one. I re-added all of my widgets, which come to think of it, wasn't that many and I didn't have such a hard time.

I've always liked the color black, and I guess this blog will just have this template for now, unless other spurs of the moments overcome me to change it again.

A New Digicam

Henry and I are raving about our new digicam...It's a GE A735 and you can read it's full product specs by clicking here. We've taken lots of pictures already, including a video of us goofing around at home. I'll try to post it as soon as we're done. I'm just glad that I finally have something to capture moments with the kids.

A New Ref

I'm raving about the new fridge we just bought. It's a Condura 2 door 7 cu ref that we bought at Abenson's. I forgot to use my Abenson Plus card when we bought it, though. :-(

The ref consumes little electricity in a 30-day period, which is one of the reasons why we chose it. Also, the previous ref we had only had 1 door, so we bought a 2 door one for a change.

This is also the first time we bought a brand new fridge, as the previous ones we had were 2nd hand. So I'm really excited as this ref is one I can really call mine.

Get Paid to Blog with Paying Post

I am excited to write about Paying Post, a site that allows advertisers to advertise on blogs and reach more audiences and also lets bloggers like me make money out of it.

I've been a member for quite some time but since I'm busy with work, my kids, and other stuff, whenever I log into Paying Post, a qualified opportunity for me has already been fully reserved.

But today is different and I am glad to write about this site. When I checked out their Open Opportunities page, there were a lot of opps available for bloggers like me and I was successful in reserving one of those.

Blog advertising is pretty simple. An advertiser goes to companies like Paying Post and requests for bloggers to write a review of their product and/or service with a certain budget in mind, and then Paying Post finds blogs that are qualified to take the opportunity. Bloggers then write about the product or service following advertiser requests - number of words, a required link, a tone of the post, etc. Paying Post reviews the post and if accepted, voila! You get paid!

If you have a blog and are thinking about submitting it to Paying Post, you can submit and verify your blog at Paying Post to make it open and qualified to receive opps from advertisers and make money from blogging as well. There are some characteristics that your blog must meet in order for it to be accepted into the system, like the age of the blog, frequency of posts and updates, and the way you write and what you write about as well.

Earning money through blogging can seem to be a daunting task, but with a little hard work, good writing skills, and sites like Paying Post, I'm sure bloggers will have a blast making money through blogging.

On Buying a Digicam

I'm not really looking for high - tech features. I just want a user - friendly digital camera with a big memory to store videos and pictures of the kids. I also just want to point the camera and shoot pictures wherever I am. I also want to be able to capture moments with my family in a clear picture quality.

So considering ease of use, megapixels, and cost, what digicam would you recommend buying?

Manny Pacquiao Wins!

Congratulations to Manny Pacquiao in winning against The Golden Boy Oscar dela Hoya. Philippine pride Manny Pacquiao defeated Oscar dela Hoya through a TKO in the highly anticipated The Dream Match. Oscar dela Hoya quit before the 9th round began.

Congrats Manny! Proud to be Pinoy!

Pacquiao - Dela Hoya Results

I am watching the boxing match that has been dubbed as The Dream Match between Manny Pacquiao and Oscar dela Hoya. There are no Pacquiao - Dela Hoya results yet, and I'm sure many people are waiting and anticipating Pacquiao - Dela Hoya results.

I'm waiting for Pacquiao - Dela Hoya results myself, and I will be updating this blog as soon as Pacquiao - Dela Hoya results are out. Again, may the best boxer win.

Pacquiao - Dela Hoya - Who Will Win?

I wish Manny Pacquiao the best of luck. But to be honest, I am a big Dela Hoya fan. They are both great boxers and I guess I'll just hold my breath like the rest of the world and wait and see who will win.

May the better boxer win.

My First Dneero Payment

I checked my email today and I was surprised to read an email notifying me that I had new PayPal funds. To my surprise, it was from Dneero, a social site that I participate in. Basically, all you need to do is answer a short survey, post the answers to your blog, and that's it! Simple, right? Your post needs to generate the required impressions in 10 days, usually around 5-7 days. You get paid through PayPal once your balance reaches $20.

Here's a screen shot of the payment I just received:

So if you guys are also looking for additional income through blogging, do try out Dneero and better yet, let me refer you so that we both earn! Just email me or leave a comment and I'll be happy to help.

Happy blogging!

Gmail Gets A New Look

I really like the new themes Gmail has. I'd like to try out all the layouts, but for this week I decided to go with the Ninja theme. Here's how it looks like:

It's a great break from the previous monotonous layout, and I seriously enjoyed checking my email with Gmail with the new theme. Before, I honestly felt like checking my email with them because I needed to, not because I wanted to. But that part's over now, as I really love the new look.

Kudos to the Gmail team who came up with these themes!

Poker Tables

Through my normal routine which is basically surfing the internet, I came across this site that sells really great Poker Tables. In my opinion, if you're really into poker, then a good table is also a good investment.

The poker tables I'm telling you about is from American Gaming supply. They have a really wide selection of poker tables and also offers free shipping within the United States and Canada. Also, they make sure that 90% of their tables are in stock at all times. Another good thing is that American Gaming Supply also offers discounts on multiple wholesale purchases done online.

When you order from American Gaming Supply, they also ship the same day or the next following business day from the time they receive your order. Also, all their poker tables are expedited after shipping. Usually, a customer receives their poker table within 1 - 5 business days. Deliveries are also guaranteed. Also, they have a good selection of poker chips and supplies.

So when you buy from American Gaming Supply, you can pretty much hit two birds with one stone - you can order a great table at a great discounted rate, get it in 5 days after ordering, and also order poker chips and supplies at the same time. What a great deal!

Raving about XoXo

I just got my new bag and wallet today from my supervisor at work. His sister sells bags, wallets, and watches online and I've ordered 3 bags, 2 wallets, and 1 watch already. It's a good thing I earned quite a lot through blogging so I'm using that to pay my items. The items aren't all mine, they're actually Christmas gifts for my mom, my sister, my mom in law, and Henry.

I did order something for myself, and they just arrived today. Here's my pink bag and wallet from XoXo.

Aren't they just adorable? And they match, too! I can't wait to start using my bag and wallet....

Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry

Giving and sharing your blessings should be done more often. There is no right and wrong season to share your blessings and happiness, but Christmas is the best time to share. This holiday season Sears came up with their holiday program called Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry. It's the perfect way to share your love and blessings this holiday season.

How can you help? it's really easy. Just go to Sear's website and you can make your donation online. Your donations will go to America's military families. Need I say that these guys are bearing the loneliness of being separated from their loved ones who are out keeping the country safe, facing each day apart with the thought that their loved one just might not even come home anymore?

Your donations will be turned into Sears Gift Cards that will be distributed equally and evenly among the military families that they can use for purchasing things they need. The top items our military families are in need of are kids' shoes, boy's and girl's pajamas, sweaters, pants, and other items. Just imagine, your donations can go a really long way in helping our military families. Shouldn't it be our turn to give and help those who are giving their lives for us?

24 Days till Christmas

I'm excited about Christmas, mainly because for this year, I was able to buy the gifts I wanted to give to my loved ones really early. I haven't wrapped them yet, but that part will definitely be easier compared to the buying part.

When I was a kid, I seriously through Santa was real, as there was never a Christmas Eve that I caught my parents sneaking in my gifts. My gifts were just there when I woke up. I'm not a heavy sleeper, but I just never caught them.

I'm excited for the kids as well. I'm not sure if I should just give Keisha her gift and let her choose it, or if I should just surprise her. Which approach would you think is better?

Wonder Woman Tag

I received a tag from Rose, a blogger whose blog I love to read daily. I received this tag several days ago but it is only now that I am replying to it. This tag is called the Wonder Woman tag, and if you know someone who deserves this tag, please share it with them.

I would like to share this tag to a co-worker of mine who does wonders in her own way. If my mom had a blog, I'd give this tag to her too.

So there, don't forget to hug your own Wonder Womans at home to let them know you appreciate their efforts and hard work!

10% Off Vacuum Cleaner Bags, Belts and Filters

I came across a site that offers vacuum cleaners bags belts filters brushrolls machines at 10% off. The site is called EZ Vacuum, and what's even better aside from the 10% off if you use the coupon code EZVAC10 is that shipping is also free on ALL orders.

The coupon code EZVAC10 will take 10% off on your entire order price, and as I've mentioned, shipping is also free. Currently, EZ Vacuum offers shipping through your choice of UPS or USPS shipping rates. Most of the orders from EZ Vacuum are shipped within 24 hours from the time your order is placed. Your zip code is the determining factor for the charges that will be computed by UPS and all this information is given to you before checkout, so you know just exactly what you're paying for.

If you're going to be using a PO Box for a shipping address, please note and please be reminded of the fact that UPS doesn't deliver to PO Boxes, so choose USPS for APO/FPO/AE/PO orders. So again, just use the special coupon code EZVAC10 to take 10% off of your entire purchase price. Also, remember that shipping is also free on all orders, so you're really getting your money's worth on buying vacuum cleaner bags, belts, and filters. So what are you waiting for? Make that smart purchase of vacuum cleaner bags, belts, and filters through EZ Vacuum!

Ranting and Raving about Twilight

I've been dying to watch Twilight the very first moment I saw the trailer. I honestly have not heard of the book prior to the release of the movie, but since I learned the movie was based from the book, I've been dying to get my hands on it since.

The movie is about a teenage girl and a vampire who fall in love with each other against all odds (sorry for the pun). I honestly fell for the movie's tagline "When you can live forever, what do you live for?"

I'm not a sucker for love stories, but I guess I like dark stories and finding love amidst the worst of situations. The vampire guy is torn between his natural desire for blood, but it's the blood of the girl he's waited for decades and decades. The story also happens to be a series, so I'm also curious as to how the other parts will go.

So there, whoever has the book please consider lending it to me. I hope Henry and I find the time to watch the said movie, I'm really dying to watch it.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Ranting about Yesterday

I got locked out of my house yesterday and had to wait for more than 2 hours before I finally got in. Since I'm too tired and sleepy and have to run some errands before knocking myself out to sleep, just read about the complete details in my other blog post.

It was a horrible way to start (or end) the day, but I learned my lesson the hard way, which is all I can say.

The Flat Belly Diet

Fbd

The diet that everyone has been talking about is finally here! It's called the Flat Belly Diet, and it's fairly simple and easy to understand. As a mom of two kids whom I gave birth to both through cesarean section, I have found it hard to get my flat belly back. Before I became a mom, I was thin but now, I still have a bulging belly no matter what exercise or diet that I do. I lose weight in my arms and legs and everywhere else except my belly.

The Flat Belly Diet claims to make you lose weight without any exercise required. You can also lose 15 pounds in 32 days! This diet was created for people who have tried just about anything to eliminate belly fat (like me!). The diet is centered in the research that eating healthy fats or MUFAs (Monounsaturated Fatty Acids) during each meal specifically targets belly fat.

Five delicious MUFAs that people on the Flat Belly Diet can indulge in are dark chocolate, oils, nuts and seeds, avocadoes, and olives. Just by reading the success stories of people with varying ages is enough for me to run out and try the diet myself. Imagine, you get to eat foods that are mostly not allowed in other diets yet achieve greater results! I guess this is one of the reasons why everyone is just talking about the Flat Belly Diet!

Seal - Kiss from a Rose

In the British music blog that I write for, I featured Seal and this particular song. I didn't even realize that it's been years and years since this song was first featured in the Batman Forever movie. I just love the lyrics, and the way Seal sang this song. He released other great songs, but this one is still my favorite among all.

For me, the song is somewhat a song of hope, when you are at your deepest of moments, you get pulled back into life by love, by a kiss. At least for me, that's what I think about "I've been kissed by a rose on the grave." What do you think?

Las Vegas Shows

If you're a fan of Las Vegas Shows, you'll be happy to hear about this website called Show Las Vegas. They offer the largest selection of tickets to all Las Vegas shows. So no matter who's performing, like Elton John or Bette Midler, you're sure to find tickets here.

If you are to purchase your tickets at Show Las Vegas, you are also assured of competitive prices which you can compare anywhere else. Why? Because since Show Las Vegas specializes in show tickets, they have negotiated exclusive rates directly with the individual shows.

The site is also very easy to use as you can browse through detailed descriptions of the shows that you can watch matched with photos, so that you an make an educated choice among which of the amazing shows in Las Vegas you should watch. So secure your tickets in advance through Show Las Vegas!

Spice up your Fireplace!

Whether you've chosen your house to be the traditional house or a very contemporary and modern one, there is certainly a fireplace that will suit your needs, especially with the cold season up ahead.

Gas fires have become a necessity in every home, and with the times being modern, people now have the choice of the type of fire that they can use in their homes. There are now what we call electric fires, and hole in the wall fires.

I personally like electric fires over the traditional ones. First of all, there isn't cleaning ashes involved, and there's no burnt pieces of wood flying around your house should a strong wind come blowing by. You also don't need to exert that much effort in getting the fire started, much less in turning it off. Also, maintaining an electric fire over the traditional one is so much easier and uncomplicated, and it also reduces the risk of you and a family member getting burned in the process.

Hole in the wall fires are perfect for houses that are built in the contemporary and modern style. You can choose different designs to suit the look and feel of your room. There are lots of great choices of hole in the wall fires and electric fires in this website called Hotprice. They've been featured several times in UK TV with their range of gas and electric fires whose styles vary from traditional to the ones more modern and contemporary. Do check this website out if you're planning on remodeling or getting a new fireplace.

Writing with Paying Post

I'm looking forward to getting opps from PayingPost. Whenever I log into my account, most of the opps are grayed out already. Similar to other pay per post sites, they have a list of opps which you can take if you are qualified, and you simply write the post in your blog. Pretty simple, right?

I am really looking forward to writing with PayingPost. The site is really simple to use, and there are lots of opps that you can choose from, all of which also pay great compared to other sites. Another thing I like about PayingPost is that you get paid for blogging by PayPal. It's the payment method I accept and have not have any problems whatsoever.

So for other bloggers out there who are interested in paid blogging or blogging for money, do visit PayingPost, I'm sure you'll like it.

Nice to Book

Thanks to Zync, I came across this site called Nice to Book wherein you can reserve and book hotels in top travel destinations such as Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and Sevilla.

The site is very easy to use. You simply need to select your check in and check out dates, plus how many people you'll be traveling with, and then pick a destination of your choice, and that's it! You'll be able to get the prices right away.

Like for instance, the hotel in Sevilla that's called Hotel Catalonia Giralda, it's in Sierra Nevada and it's situated in historic yet commercial place in Sevilla. You can easily make a reservation to this great hotel with simply a click of your mouse, right in the comfort of your home. You can also book hotels in Barcelona and/or hotels in Gijon in advance, with the luxury of knowing whatthe room you are booking looks like, and you get to read reviews made by other people who've been there.

What's great about online booking at Nice to Book is that you get to choose and see the rooms and you get to choose rooms that will suit you and your companion (or companions, if you're traveling with a group) before you actually make the reservation. And with plenty of hotels to choose from, it is certain that you will find one that will suit you best. So go ahead and try Nice to Book in the comfort of your home the next time you find yourself traveling.

Friendster is Back to Normal

I'm glad Friendster is back to normal.

I've been getting a white page saying they're under maintenance a few days back and yesterday, I was finally able to log in but my friends list was like less than a hundred when in reality, I have more than 300 friends.

So there, just wanted to share that everything is back to normal with Friendster.

12 Hours at Work

I'm ranting because tonight I will be working 12 hours...My shift really starts at 2am and ends at 11am, but for tonight we are asked to report at 11pm, due to some training that I already forgot what the topic was.

Nope, this isn't training for me being a QA already, it's just part of the up-training for us agents. My training as a QA won't start until next week. What happened is, the newly-hired QAs will join agents in their product training, and since this week they're just in core skills training which we're already done with, we'll be joining them next week.

The thought of being at work for 12 hours is enough to bring my spirits down. For starters, I won't get to see Henry tonight when he comes home. It will also mean I have less time to spend with my kids as I should be sleeping by now already. But on the other hand, I'm just thinking that I'll get paid for the extra hours anyway, so it really shouldn't be that bad.

Oh well, I guess I just have to bear this week. Next week will be a whole new start for me anyway.

Changing Templates

I'm thinking of changing my template one of these days. I just have to find out the snippets I've inserted into the HTML of my blog, plus backup my widgets, and choose a template as well.

I'll most probably stick with a 3 column one, and what do you think of this one?

Is Linky Love Army still Alive?

For bloggers out there who are members of The Linky Love Army, do you guys still get any opps from them? The last opp I got from them was back in October 2007 about Belize. It's a contest whose winners didn't get announced, by the way.

A good thing is that all the opps I ever did for Linky Love Army was paid, but as I've said, it's been more than year since I got a new opp from them. Also, their blog doesn't show any new posts, their most recent one being back in December 2007. So I don't know what's going on or if I should even expect to get any more advertising opps from then anymore.

My AdSense Account is Gone

Yesterday it was my friend Dood's AdSense account that was disabled, now it's mine. :-( Good thing there's not much in my AdSense account yet as there's no way for me to retrieve my earnings. Like Doods, the email I received was the same, that we were posing as a threat to their AdWords advertisers. My God, all I can say is this is crap.

AdSense Account Disabled?!?!

My friend and officemate Doods and I are currently talking on the phone and we are both very concerned as his Google Adsense account was disabled. He received an email from AdSense that his publisher account was posing as a threat to their AdWords advertisers and they have thus decided to close his account.

I hope that he will be able to contact AdSense and find out exactly what he did wrong to deserve his account being disabled. I wonder what advertiser was affected for them to disable his account on the grounds that he might "financially" affect their advertisers. We both have no idea why his AdSense account would be disabled for any reason at all.

I hope this issue gets resolved at the soonest possible time. His earnings are all there in his AdSense account and he's worked so hard.

On Ski Resorts

For those who like to ski, I came across this great site that offers great deals on ski resorts. The site is called Destinia, and they offer great deals on ski stations as well. Destinia also offers travel to other popular destinations and you can book reservations for hotels and apartments while on travel, with their guaranteed low prices.

For those who don't know, skiing was initially designed to help the wearer of the ski slide smoothly over snow and was originally intended to travel in snowy regions although they are now primarily used for recreational and sporting purposes. Now, there are also other forms of skiing as part of recreational purposes. Some skiiers actually participate in skiing tournaments and some even try out extreme skiing - jumping off slopes and high places, etc.

Destinia offers an easy-to-navigate page when booking hotels and apartments, as well as for the ski page, it is also very easy to choose where you plan your ski vacation. You can choose the region you want to go skiing, as well as when you want to go, and how many your companions are. Destinia is a great site for travel, but I would have liked it more if it had an English translation. But other than that, it's a great resource for travelers who are into skiing.

On Obama Winning the Presidency

I'm not a US Citizen, but my job lets me to talk to Americans 8 hours a day for 5 days. I feel the impact of the recession as the company I work for is run by Americans, and the clients that the company caters to are also Americans. I also feel the impact of the elections every day even though I am not there.

I get customers who like talking with me and some who just stubbornly insist that they be transferred to an American customer service representative. I can honestly say that when I talk, it is very hard to distinguish whether I am an American or not, but there are just some who insist you tell them where you're located. I don't lie, I'm proud to say that I'm in the Philippines, and then they state that they don' t want to talk to you anymore.

With Obama winning the election, I am not expecting that racism will stop, nor that I won't get any more rude American customers over the phone. But I do hope that this serve as a wake-up call for everybody that color and ethnicity are not the real measures of a person's worth or capacity to serve. I wish Obama the best of luck.

Zenni Optical was on FOX news!

I've been writing about Great Eyeglasses For Less at Zenni Optical, and I just found out recently that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! Well, I'm not surprised at all. They sell great quality eyeglasses for a fraction of the cost since they manufacture their own eyeglasses and sell them directly to customers. So there's no middle man fee to add to the price and no advertising fees as well. You can read about Zenni on Fox here.

Take the eyeglasses above. This is a half-rimmed pure titanium frame and guess what? It only sells for $39.95 for the lens and the frame. If you'd like to add extra coatings like anti-reflection, it's an extra $4.95. There are also Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni so there are lots and lots you can choose from. The glasses are great and you can add so much more enhancements to them without having to pay an extraordinarily high amount.

BlogRush is Shutting Down

I guess this is a week wherein I am going to get weird emails.

Today when I checked my email, I read one from the administrators of BlogRush that Blogrush is shutting down. The entire email can be read from their home page or by clicking here. I've always loved this widget especially since I get traffic from other blogs because of this widget and I get to pick interesting posts to read from other bloggers through my widget.

I am not sure why they are shutting down exactly, but I do respect their decision in not selling the service. The service was a great idea, and I will miss seeing the blue widget I have been accustomed to seeing in my sidebar for so many months.

For other BlogRush users, we are advised to remove the widget from our sites/blogs. It's sad, but it has to be done.

Tell Me Something I Don't Know - Sunday, October 26th

A Strange Email

Today when I checked my email, I was surprised to find an email from one of the sites that I write for. It wasn't a request for me to write something new, but instead, a request to delete a post I completed late last year. Yes, it has been paid, but I was just wondering why in the world they would ask a blogger to delete a post that has been paid.

In the email, it states there that the advertiser I wrote for already canceled the ad and therefore, I should delete the write-up I made and I should do it promptly. Huh?

As most of the readers know, although I have lost my PR due to many sponsored posts, I am not one for deleting the said post after it has been paid. I just don't think that it's fair, since you were given good money and the moment you get paid you turn around and delete what you were paid for. But since it was the site admin's request, I simply complied.

There, just wanted to share that weird email I just received.

Excited about 2009

Right now, I am so excited and raving about 2009, I can't wait!

I guess one of the reasons behind my excitement is the Christmas Tree that is at my back from where I'm seated. My mom dropped it off earlier today as it's her 2nd Christmas Tree and she doesn't use it. Having the tree and some Christmas decorations up at the house just made me get into the holiday mood altogether. I'm also excited about this Wednesday, which is Keisha's birthday!!!

I have a lot of things to be thankful for, and I'm glad I realized that. I shouldn't be spending time sulking and being mad when I have a lot of blessings in front of me. If what I'm feeling now is the effect of the Christmas Tree then heck, I should have it up for the whole year!

Yikes, I lost my files!

No More Entrecard For Me!

Yes, I know. :-(

I just started using Entrecard a couple of days ago and I must say, there were indeed a lot of people dropping by my blog, even though it was for the purpose of dropping their cards and earning credits. But traffic is traffic, and I didn't mind.

What I did mind though is the fact that the card actually interfered with my blog's template, especially for my other blog, Something and Nothing at All. There were a lot of times when I viewed my blog and my NavBar wasn't there. Instead, it was parts of the Entrecard card sitting where my NavBar should be. When I tried removing the gadget earlier, it even kept giving me error messages, until I finally managed to get the codes out of my HTML.

So there. I say goodbye to several unique visits a day. I don't know if this is the right thing to do, but I just don't like logging into my blog and seeing the template all scrambled. After all, it's me who sees my blog most often, and I don't want an eyesore every time I want to make a post.

Love Art?

I came across this site called MyWhiteWalls, which is basically an online art and wall decor store. They have a lot of different styles of wall art including modern art, abstract, traditional, metal, and famous canvas works of art. Hope you'll drop by and give them a visit. Who knows, you might find something you like.

Another Opp from PayPerPost

This week must be a good week as not only did I get another opp from ReviewMe, I also logged into PayPerPost and also found another opp for $5! Today really must be a good week for me with regards to opps.

I have been logging into PayPerPost several times and I always see opps that have already been fully reserved but I guess today (including yesterday) is my good day.

I really like PayPerPost as I haven't had any payout problems with them, and I hope I never do. I'm really happy with PPP, especially since I was able to get a new opp from them, considering the last opp I did was back in January 30, 2008.

The Cost of Quality Eyeglasses

My mother in law is turning 50 next month and she already wears eyeglasses. The thing is, since she takes care of the kids most of the time as my husband and I work, her eyeglasses are often broken whenever she and the kids are playing around or when my toddler suddenly grabs them and tosses them away.

I don't want her wearing and buying cheap glasses, especially if we can afford good ones, but here's a pair of her eyeglasses that cost us around $35, I don't even know what kind of metal the frame is made of:

See the sides? This is actually her reading glasses and well as you can see, they're pretty much broken. Although she's gotten a new one made, she hasn't thrown these away. My toddler actually grabbed my mother in law's eyeglasses and them threw them to the floor and it broke that easily.

Then I came across ZenniOptical.com and I wish I had found about them before we had her second pair made. Prescription glasses start at $8 with a huge selection of frames, potochromic lens, and even progressive lens. I also found out that ZenniOptical actually manufactures their own frames and directly sells it to customers online, with no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget, that's why their eyeglasses are so cheap.

But don't get me wrong. Not because the glasses are cheap means they're also poor of quality. In fact, ZenniOptical was even featured in the Chicago Tribune. You can read about the article by clicking here. So there, just in case the new eyeglasses my mother in law has now gets broken, I know where to buy next time, for a great deal, too!

Using Entrecard

I just started using Entrecard yesterday and to be honest, I'm not sure exactly as to how it works. All three blogs of mine have their own Entrecard buttons, and here they are so you can see what they look like:

This one's for this blog, of course.

And this one's for Keisha's blog.

I got as far as designing a button or a logo if you may, that's 125x125 pixels in size. And I've been visiting some blogs with Entrecard cards and dropping my card. I also got some ad requests and everything seems pretty cool. I am beginning to think that Entrecard's goal is for members to earn traffic as you'll be visiting other blogs to earn credits to advertise on other blogs. So it's a pretty cool thing after all.

Anyone there who's been using Entrecard? Hope you'll share some things I should know about it. Thanks in advance.
