I think the advantage Belle has over all these other fairy tale princesses is that Belle actually got to know the Beast and by doing so, fell in love with him.
Unlike Cinderella or Snow White or Sleeping Beauty, they just either woke up with a guy in front of them to save their day, without even knowing who the heck that guy is.
As for Belle, she got to know the Beast at his worst and still loved him. And who would have thought he would turn into a really rich, handsome prince?
